A Book Act 1

A Book Act 1 is a collaboration with 20 predominantly local artists that is the largest group show in its history and includes a distinctive First and Second Act over 3 months. Act 1 features mechanical installations, prints and paintings, while Act Two focuses on sound installations, augmented reality and three-dimensional objects.

Taking the subject of the book as a starting point, the artistic perspective includes exploring features of the physical book, such as the cover or the page-turning mechanism.

Artists also often refer to their personal themes, providing highly diverse, thought-provoking and often entertaining discourse, such as a diary of conversations with themselves, sex education manuals or sticker collection albums, and capture and inspire from books its creators and The imagination of the reader, witness how books find a new way of expression to be expressed as an art form.
