Arie Otten (born in 1954) is a self-taught visual artist residing in Apeldoorn. Otten's artistic repertoire primarily consists of abstract paintings across various disciplines. His creative expressions are driven by a passion for experimentation and the freedom to explore different techniques and materials. Otten employs acrylic, oil paint, and even biological pigments in his artistic process. Starting with a blank canvas or panel, he gradually shapes his ideas through experimentation. The human element holds a particular fascination for Otten, often resulting in the inclusion of faces in his artwork. Additionally, he also creates abstract landscapes and other impressions in an abstract style.

Arie Otten possesses two studios in Apeldoorn: a 110 m2 studio located at Everlaan 27 and a 150 m2 studio situated at Noorderlaan 61. Visits to the studios are available by appointment.
