Sebastian Chaumeton: Baby Blue

Baby Blue is a solo exhibition by the British emerging multi-media artist Sebastian Chaumeton, which showcases his profound exploration of the nature of childhood memory and creativity. His multi-layered works address the over-saturation of messages and images in modern society, while also conveying boredom with the consequences of rapid technological advancement.

An in-depth exploration of the artist's personal journey to reconnect with his childhood, seeking to rediscover forgotten aspects and further deepen understanding through his creativity. While growing up, he often spent long periods of time immersed in drawing with pen and paper in hand. The act of painting brings him a sense of focus, tranquility, and contentment.

In this exhibition, he uses this innate connection with art to explore the fundamental question of "why" he creates. For the artist, the answer to this question is constantly changing, sometimes being immediately obvious, allowing him to dive headfirst into his work, and other times, the creative path requires interesting exploration before the purpose becomes clear, and the idea's the outline is blurry. Shift to concise, calculated communication. Art is a means of conveying ideas and a channel through which he communicates with the world.
