Kohei Ogawa: Over the Rainbow

Over the Rainbow is a solo exhibition by the Japanese artist Kohei Ogawa, which takes the viewer on an enchanting and awe-inspiring adventure into an enchanted world inspired by the timeless story "The Wizard of Oz." Combining iconic scenes and characters from the beloved masterpiece with beloved characters from the Green Cow Garden series, the beloved story is brought to life.

The immersive exhibition begins with visitors entering a meticulously recreated Dorothy’s room, where they will have the opportunity to step into Dorothy’s magical ruby slippers and travel through the mysterious lands of Oz. A yellow brick path guides visitors through whimsical displays set among lush green fields, leading them toward his interpretation of the glorious Emerald City, with its shimmering green hues and towering spires.

Even though everyone has complexes and flaws, they eventually learn to overcome them along the way on this yellow brick road they call life. Allowing the viewer to join his character on his journey to the Emerald City, the exhibition promises to spark joy in visitors on their journey to self-discovery and personal growth.
