Cory Arcangel: Errors and Omissions

Errors and Omissions is a solo exhibition by the American post-conceptual artist Cory Arcangel, which presents collectively as a survey exhibition that showcases a range of the artist's multimedia projects, including video games, single-channel video, inkjet, and industrial-coated aluminum "paintings", utilizing technological codes such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and machine learning.

The series is based on two video game titles produced nearly 20 years apart - Super Slow Tetris (2004) and /roʊˈdeɪoʊ/ Let’s Play: HOLLYWOOD (2021). Super Slow Tetris, the original version of the Nintendo Entertainment System game Tetris has been hacked and slowed down so drastically that it now takes almost a full day for a set of blocks to fall to the bottom of the screen but crucially still can play. /roʊˈdeɪoʊ/ (pronounced "Rodeo") is another way to expand the gameplay, but here it is played by a custom Deep-Q machine learning supercomputing system, a casual game called "Kim Kardashian", a free Android game: Hollywood," players aim to improve their reputation by winning fans and A-list celebrities.

The exhibition ends with a ready-made floor installation and a new series of Alu's aluminum paintings featuring abstract shapes and signatures cut by a robotic CNC fiber laser cutter, with a finish reminiscent of Apple’s products for casual and professional users Wire. Lines, curves, and letters are rendered from vectorized photographs of sportswear, patterns that have been a long-standing interest for him. Each piece is painted in an industrial pink and is unique in its markings.
