Zilla Leutenegger: I Love You to the Moon and Back

I Love You to the Moon and Back is a solo exhibition by the Swiss artist Zilla Leutenegger, which focuses on the cross-media exploration of two dimensions, space, and spatial figures. The new works combine many characteristic elements of her artistic practice, such as moving paintings and surfaces, and the interplay of light and shadow, creating a spectrum of familiarity, as well as new content. On display are two new series of monoprints in different formats, a new room-filling video installation, and a group of small ceramic works.

The exhibition describes an emotional journey that is also an ode to the beauty of everyday life that we often overlook in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. In her work, a few devices are often enough to draw us into the poetry of the moment and make us stop and wonder. Brushstrokes and shapes wander off the surface, miraculously merging with three dimensions, making us part of their imagined worlds.

Using this approach, the exhibition begins with the Taps Out series, designed for presentation in the gallery foyer, forming a large-scale installation that is constantly changing during the course of the exhibition. Each Tap is unique and will be available individually throughout the exhibition. When Tap finds a new home, it leaves a void at the same time. The preciousness of water lies in its controllability and its uniqueness. Enter the underwater world in the first exhibition hall.
